Odd Friendship: If you bring Felix along with you when you meet him, it turns out the two are pals - Felix grew up in the very Back Bays which MacRedd rules over. He's the terror of the Back Bays and looks the part, and he's pretty much right on the verge of becoming a real, murderous outlaw, but if you can talk your way past him, you can stop him before he does anything too unforgivable. Becomes less funny when you find out he and his gang have killed a number of Mardets and engineers by the time you meet him. Laughably Evil: His crimes sound hilarious when described by the Mardets and local criminals. The self-styled king of the Back Bays, the realm he rules isn't even a metaphorical Micro Monarchy - just a small gang squatting in the storage areas leading up to the Groundbreaker's long-disused sleeper pod bays. King of Thieves: Invoked but subverted.Given Commandant Sanita's eagerness to see him hunted down and killed it's not hard to imagine one of her men jumping the gun, but if you don't finish the job yourself then it does feel like letting MacRedd get away with murder. Karma Houdini: You can either ignore the dead engineers and Mardets at MacRedd's feet or attack him and his men, nothing in between.I Call It "Vera": His unique flamethrower, Montag.Hot Blooded Sideburns: Shaves everything but his sideburns and mohawk.Glasgow Grin: A faint tracery of scars carved around the corners of his mouth. It might also explain his spacey indifference to violence. Getting High on Their Own Supply: He's been taking his own hallucinogenic mushrooms for years, hence his bizarrely poetic turn of speech.Enemy Without: In a brief spike of narcotic whimsy, he briefly ponders if the player is his darker half made manifest in the physical plane. ![]()
